This piece is a reflection on how the invasive species in Wurundjeri Country reflect the history of settler migration here. Many weeds were introduced incidentally, on cattle, and many were introduced purposely i.e. for sustenance during the gold rush. They each have a history in their Country of origin which contrasts how they have proliferated on these soils.
