My Seasonal Signposts (Food Garden and Foraging) Calendar on Wurundjeri Country
This poster was made on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land. In the centre it has the calendar months and the 7 Wurundjeri Seasons, and spiralling out are little annotated illustrations of events, animal activity, plant activity (native and introduced) and food gardening reminders.
This Calendar was made in consultation with the Wurundjeri Council, it maps ecological signposts on this land, however it is not a cultural resource! For cultural educational resources please seek Wurundjeri resources via their website, www.wurundjeri.com
Making this map helped me to learn to notice the patterns between animals and plant life around me, and I recommend you add to this calendar or make your own - adding personal events or relevant observations for you.
Note: $5 of each calendar goes towards Pay The Rent. This land was and always will be Wurundjeri Land.
